Welcome Leesa Welch!

We are excited to welcome a 5th teacher, Leesa Welch, as HCCA’s history teacher. Leesa is coming to HCCA after 35+ years of teaching at other esteemed schools.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BS degree in Elementary Education and took multiple post graduate hours at East Tennessee State University in reading. Leesa fell in love with Classical Christian Education while teaching Humanities, Language Arts, and Latin at Franklin Classical School in Franklin, Tennessee, where her husband Andy was Athletic Director and Math teacher, and their children Caroline and Drew attended.  Her love for HIStory grew while sitting under the teaching of Dr. George Grant, Ph.D, Litt, D.Hum / Founder of Franklin Classical School. Most recently she taught 2nd grade for 11 years at Palmetto Christian Academy. 

Leesa loves going to the beach with her husband, Andy, and feels blessed being mom to Caroline, Drew, and her 13 year old chihuahua Roxy, mother-in-law to Aaron and Lauren, and grandmother to Shiloh (an HCCA student), Maverick, and Wyatt.
